Exercise rehabilitation is a physical activity designed to facilitate the process of recovery from injury, illness, disease or surgery to as normal a condition as possible. Exercise rehabilitation is the single most important component that is used to facilitate recovery from incapacity to resuming full capacity. It is a physical activity that is planned, structured, repetitive and progressive for the purpose of conditioning any part of the body.
Physiotherapists are the experts in exercise rehabilitation. They are involved in helping people of all ages, from young infants to the elderly.
Physiotherapists are the only allied health, University educated professionals who are comprehensively trained in Australian hospitals as well as in specialised health centres. They are trained to assess the underlying cause of joint, muscle and nerve injuries. They are then able to provide a complete range of rehabilitation programs to suit each individual's special requirements rather than just deliver a generalised set of exercises.
Southside Physiotherapy has the added advantage of Francis and Phillip being APA Titled Sports Physiotherapists with the specialised training that program provides. In addition, having been residents in the Shire for many years, they are well known by and have excellent professional working relationships with the local GP's, Orthopaedic Surgeons, Sports Physicians and many sports teams.
Southside Physiotherapy has a fully equipped rehabilitation gymnasium making our facility a one stop shop.
Whether you have a niggle or are recovering from a serious illness, injury or surgery, or would just like to improve your physical status with our exercise rehabilitation expertise, we can restore you to your maximum potential.
